2. What Is Sculptra?
Sculptra is a PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid) collagen stimulator manufactured by Galderma.
Unlike conventional fillers, Sculptra does not simply fill an area with gel.
Instead, it works by stimulating your own collagen production, gradually restoring facial volume over time.
Why Does the Initial Sculptra Volume Disappear?
This is one of the most common questions patients ask.
Immediately after a Sculptra treatment, the face may look fuller because of the sterile water used to prepare the product.
For example, if the apparent volume immediately after treatment feels like a “10,” much of that initial fullness may disappear within several days.
This is normal.
Over the following weeks, collagen production gradually increases, creating a more natural improvement in volume.
Visible improvement generally develops progressively rather than immediately.
For this reason, I often recommend a series of treatments, commonly:
3 sessions at approximately 6-week intervals
The exact number of sessions should, however, be individualized according to facial structure, degree of volume loss, and treatment goals.

3. What Is Juvelook Volume?
Juvelook Volume is a collagen-stimulating injectable containing PDLLA (poly-D,L-lactic acid) and HA (hyaluronic acid).
It has become increasingly popular in Korea.
Compared with traditional HA fillers, the results are generally intended to appear more gradual and natural.
Compared with Sculptra, some patients may perceive volume changes somewhat earlier, although individual responses vary.

HA fillers generally provide immediate results, with longevity varying considerably by product and treatment area.
Sculptra works differently. Rather than leaving a gel-like filler in the tissue, it stimulates collagen formation. Improvement develops gradually and can remain noticeable for an extended period.
Juvelook Volume also stimulates collagen, so its results develop progressively rather than behaving exactly like conventional HA fillers.
Because individual responses vary, longevity should be discussed during an in-person consultation rather than predicted solely from the product name.
How Do You Choose a Clinic That Is Good at Sculptra and Fillers?
Collagen stimulators and fillers are highly dependent on the physician's understanding of facial anatomy, injection technique, and aesthetic design.
