InMode Lifting (Forma+ MiniFX)! Comparison with Ultherapy, Thermage FLX, and Oligio
Today, we will compare InMode lifting with other world-renowned lifting methods, such as Ultherapy, Thermage, and Allura.
All of these are popular lifting procedures used at W Clinic.
W Clinic InMode machine
InMode is a leading lifting device from InMode, which is also listed on Nasdaq. It is also a very successful medical device company.
InMode's lifting applicators, which are used with the InMode machine, are called Forma and MiniFX. In Korea, these are known as InMode or InMode lifting.
These two applicators used in InMode lifting have the same effects as other lifting methods, such as:
- Lifting of sagging skin - improving the jawline, nasolabial folds, mouth corner sagging, and eyebrow sagging.
- Reduction of fine wrinkles - tightening and plumping the skin.
In addition, if you use MiniFX, you can improve some of the fat in the cheeks and double chin and make the jawline more pronounced.
Let's take a look at the individual applicators.
InMode's Forma applicator - used for face lifting, wrinkle improvement, and skin tightening. It is not painful.
First, the Forma applicator uses radio frequency for lifting and tightening. Simply put, it is a procedure that can lift and tighten the skin. Radio frequency is not as deep as HIFU such as Ultherapy, so it emits energy to the skin from the shallow layer to the deep layer.
This is why lifting and tightening can be done at the same time.
Unlike monopolar (Monopolar) radio frequency such as Thermage and Allura, you do not need to attach a return pad to your body. Bipolar or multipolar (Bipolar or Multipolar) radio frequency has silver electrodes at the end of the applicator, so the current flows between the electrodes and you do not need to attach anything to your body.
W Clinic's InMode FX applicator
Next, InMode's MiniFX applicator.
This is called MiniFX because there is a larger FX applicator. MiniFX is the right size to attach to the cheeks or double chin.
InMode is applied in this way and shows such before and after effects.

So, InMode is mainly "lifting and tightening", but "InMode's unique selling point" is that it is specialized in making a V-line by improving cheek fat and double chin.
The difference between InMode and Thermage FLX treatment
InMode can be received about once a month, while Thermage can be maintained for 6 months to 1 year with one treatment. The long-term lifting effect of Thermage is better, but InMode is better at improving cheek fat and double chin.
What about Allura?
Allura is a domestic device that came out similar to Thermage (USA). Therefore, it is more cost-effective than Thermage, but the long-term effect is still unknown.
Comparing Ultherapy and InMode
Ultherapy is a high-focused intensity ultrasound (HIFU) procedure. After its release in 2010, it has been used for more than 10 years and is a popular procedure. There must be something special about it, right?
First, InMode is radio frequency lifting and Ultherapy is ultrasound lifting. This means that InMode is like Thermage, which feels soft, while Ultherapy can make the face look smaller by lifting the cheeks and jawline and making the lines sharper.
Therefore, there is a rumor that Ultherapy makes the cheeks look hollow, but this is because the sagging skin is lifted and the already hollow cheeks are visible. Experienced doctors can adjust the lifting direction of Ultherapy to the lower and rear side of the cheeks with less hollowness.
In addition to the difference between soft lifting and sharp lifting, InMode has a unique applicator called MiniFX, which improves cheek sagging and double chin.
Which one is better?
InMode is a less painful lifting method that can be received frequently. Ultherapy is a lifting method that makes the face look smaller and the lines sharper with one treatment a year or two.
That's all for the comparison of InMode lifting with other world-renowned lifting methods.
